PTSD in VA Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACTs) Toolkit

Toolkit Overview

Managing PTSD in Primary Care

The purpose of this toolkit is to provide easy access to PTSD resources for co-located mental health providers in VA Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACT).

As members of PACT, these co-located providers are often responsible for educating Veterans and primary care provides about PTSD, and for determining appropriate referrals and treatment options.

The toolkit is designed to supplement, not replace, existing services or materials for integrated practices (e.g. Behavioral Health Lab, TIDES). The materials in the toolkit are consistent with the revised VA/DoD Clinical Practice Guideline for PTSD and the recommendations made by the VHA Uniform Services Handbook.
